As We Gather for November 15, 2020
To walk a mile in someone else’s shoes is an opportunity we rarely get. Often, we get so focused on our own lives—our own challenges, our own needs, our own wants and desires—that we lose sight of the struggles that others face. But to walk a mile in the shoes of another human might wake us up to the reality that others may have it way worse than us. And it helps to open our eyes so that we can see how truly blessed we are. God has blessed us far beyond measure, yet we take so much for granted. This coming week, as we participate in the Matthew 25 Challenge, we will have the opportunity to look up from our navel gazing, and experience a taste of what others deal with on a regular basis, so that we may come to know and appreciate all that God has done, is doing, and will do for us, in this life and the next.
