New Series Starting September 14

in the Young-at-Heart Bible Class

In times of personal affliction, or when threatened by danger, we may wonder:  What's going to happen next?  How long will these problems last?  Does God have a plan for my life?  The God whom we know through Jesus cares deeply about us and our troubles, and helps us.  He speaks to us, for example, in uplifting portions of the Scriptures such as 1 Peter, which we will be exploring this fall in the series, "Christ Gives Us Hope and Purpose."  Our hope is based on the risen Lord, not on our up-and-down feelings. He won the victory over sin and death, and is ruling now over everything in order to bless us who are baptized into Him.  By His Spirit He moves us to trust His guarding, guiding hands for all the details of the future, including His Coming at the End to call us home.  The result of His shepherding is that we serve Him as we serve people, discovering that this is the purpose of our life. What huge blessings we have from Christ--a living hope and a purpose for living!  We invite you to grasp these gifts again during the 10-week series, beginning September 14. We meet on Wednesdays at 9:30 a.m. in the Lounge (1st floor near the west entrance), led by Pastor Norb Streufert.
