Week 47 – The Creator has power over His creation:
One of the proofs that Jesus is who He says He is are the miracles which He performs. In our readings over the next few days Jesus shows His power over demons, sickness, nature, handicaps, manmade religious laws and sin. All of this is to show that not only is He a prophet but He is much more. He is the God who created all things and has now entered His creation to save it.

Week 46 – Jesus’ Ministry begins
This week Jesus moves from a life of obscurity to a life of ministry and He does so with the help of His cousin on His mom’s side: John the Baptist. John has been living in the wilderness proclaiming the coming of the Messiah just like Isaiah said he would. As John proclaims that Jesus is the Savior of the world and the fulfillment of the Passover lamb, Jesus begins to preach, teach and heal. Doing works which only God can do, the Christ shows in His actions that John’s words are true.
