The Door and the Shepherd

Good Shepherd Sunday | Confirmation Sunday

Jesus is the Good Shepherd, who leads us to green pastures and still waters. And Jesus is the door, the gate by which we enter eternal life.

Worship 04-23

Living and Abiding Word

Grass withers and flowers fall, but the word of the Lord remains forever!!!

Good Friday Memorial 04-07

The Old Rugged, Wooden Cross

Since the altar is stripped and the paraments are gone, the wood of many altars, lecterns, and pulpits are fully exposed. Wood reminds you what took place on the tree of the cross, where your Lord once died.

Lent Mid-Week Worship 03-29

Light

Light Shining in the Darkness

Jesus Christ is the “light of the world” (John 8:12) who drives out sin and darkness. He fills us with His light and joy to reflect to the world.

Lent Mid-Week Worship 03-22

Fragrant Oil

In the Early Church, when new Christians were baptized, fragrant oil was often placed upon them to remind them of their new life in Christ, who Himself rose from His spiced tomb as the Anointed One of God. This oil set them apart as ones who had been chosen by God.

Lent Mid-Week Worship 03-15

Bread of Life

When Jesus describes Himself in John 6 as the bread of life, we know that He highlights for us His mission of salvation. As our bread of life, Jesus comes to forgive us, renew us, and lead us toward a meaningful life in relationship with Him. Let us taste and experience that life together this day as the Holy Spirit calls us to walk with Jesus and be satisfied by His presence among us.

Salt that Sweetens and Preserves

We are blessed to be God’s children and salted in Christ Jesus. Paul reminds us to let our conversations be “seasoned with salt.” During this Lenten season we are reminded that we are blessed to sweeten this world with the presence of Christ in us
