AARP TaxAide will not be reopening for 2020

Due to continuing coronavirus issues, AARP TaxAide Services will not be reopening at this site this tax season. We are not aware of any TaxAide sites that will be reopening. Alternatives for getting your taxes prepared include:

If you are capable to do so, you can file your Federal income tax return for free on the IRS website (IRS.COM) by scrolling down and clicking on the Free File link then following the instructions. That site should also allow you to file your Minnesota income tax return. If not click on the Minnesota Department of Revenue website (MNDOR will find it) and search for file for free online.

You may prepare your property tax or rent credit online at the MNDOR site. You will need to print it and mail it in.

You may purchase software that allows you to file on-line.

If you cannot use the free filing processes or get someone to help you do it, you may have to see a paid preparer.

We expect that the South Shore Trinity site will open next year with an appointment-based process. No walk-ins will be allowed. Watch for announcements near next tax season.
